CFPF Receives $45,000 Donation from Iron Mountain Inc..jpg

New York, NY Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (Fallen Patriots) received a $45,000 donation last night from  Iron Mountain Incorporated® (NYSE: IRM), the global leader in storage and information management services.  This generous donation is vital in providing scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

Cynthia and David Kim, co-founders of Fallen Patriots, accepted the check on behalf of the foundation February 15, 2018 in New York City.  Robert Moeller, vice president of Development from Fallen Patriots; and Haley Hartwick, development administrator and former scholarship recipient from Fallen Patriots, were also in attendance.

The Iron Mountain check was presented by Ray Aschenbach, senior vice president, Iron Mountain; Kevin Dice, senior vice president of the Northeast Region; and Chris Smith, senior vice president of the Southeast Region.

“As a veteran-friendly employer, Iron Mountain is proud to support organizations like Fallen Patriots in the communities where we live and work," said Ray Aschenbach.

Iron Mountain has been a loyal supporter of Fallen Patriots, having donated $195,000 since 2014 as well as providing information management services.  Iron Mountain’s donations equate to providing more than 30 years of college for the foundation’s scholars.  From the support of corporate contributions such as Iron Mountain’s, Fallen Patriots has been able to offer over $20 million of funding to Gold Star students since 2002.

However, the need is still substantial.  A recent study estimates that $500 million is needed to cover the gap between government assistance programs and the cost of a four-year college degree.  With the generosity of companies like Iron Mountain, students who have already lost so much do not have to give up their dreams of attending college.
