Loyal Partner: Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund

America’s preserved freedom is the result of the continued bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers and their families. These sacrifices can lead to families having trouble securing their children’s educational future. With immense gratitude, Fallen Patriots is proud to announce that the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund donated $1,000,000 to help ensure a future for surviving children. This incredibly generous donation is just one more wonderful example of how foundations across the United States support our mission to secure an education for the children of the fallen.

The Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund is dedicated to assisting veterans and their family members with education expenses. With a mission to honor those who have served and continue to preserve our nation’s freedom, the foundation strives to ensure the future of military families, using education as its core focus.

The foundation was inspired by the death of Colonel John “Johnny Mac” McHugh. He was killed in action in Kabul, Afghanistan on May 18, 2010. A West Point graduate and Army aviator, McHugh served over 24 years in the U.S. Army. He is remembered as a selfless soldier, husband, father and friend.

The Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund was established by John’s classmates from the West Point Class of 1986 to assist veterans and their family members with education expenses – giving back to those who have given so much. Through various fundraising efforts, the Johnny Mac Soldiers fund has been able to help provide financial stability for surviving military families.

With the help of our wonderful partners, Fallen Patriots can continue to help thousands of surviving military children fulfill their educational needs and passions. Learn more about how you can help make a difference here.
