Nearly 25,000 children have lost an active duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. Fallen Patriots works to find each and every child to ensure they receive all necessary college funding. Every surviving scholar has a different path and timeline on the road to recovery. Although, they all seem to hold on to faith and hope as they move towards a brighter future.

Surviving scholars have expressed to Fallen Patriots that they often find happiness in knowing their parent died with honor and purpose, serving our great nation. They also find happiness in future opportunities, including college.

Surviving scholar, Jordan M., explains the feeling of receiving a college scholarship from Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation:

"When checking the mail this afternoon, I received my scholarship from CFPF. I just wanted to take the time to give my sincere gratitude and thanks for all the help you and this organization have given my mother and I. Words cannot express how thankful I am to have the support of this foundation and to continue on reaching my dream of becoming a nurse at the University of Missouri. Without your help, none of this would be possible and I cannot stress how much I appreciate it. I am grateful to this foundation and I hope to one day in my adult life be able to make donations to this beautiful organization for the children who need extra funding, just like me. My mother and I are forever grateful."
