Remembering the Lives We Lost on September 11th

Ever since September 11th, 2001, America pauses on this day to remember this somber occasion and to honor those we lost. We remember those who answered the call, those who stood up to defend freedom and those who made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard our nation. Many of our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines did just that over the past two decades – including my dad, SSG Kirk Owen who was killed in Afghanistan in 2011.

For 20 years we watched our military honorably defend our nation’s values and defeat enemy forces. However, recent events in Afghanistan have left many wondering, will my loved one be remembered when all of this is over? Was it all worth it? Our answer is unequivocally, yes.

Fallen Patriots remembers and grieves with the families of our fallen heroes as our Founder and CEO, David Kim articulates in this article.

We have been privileged to provide $48 million in funding to 2,128 students – 901 of which have now graduated debt free. Of that total assisted population, over 250 of those students have lost a parent in Afghanistan with more awaiting our support in the pipeline.

Although our military mission in Afghanistan has concluded, the mission of Fallen Patriots continues. We need your help now more than ever to support the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Your assistance ensures our students can achieve their educational dreams while honoring the legacy of their fallen service member.
