Below are four organizations you may want to consider supporting this Veterans Day:

1. The National Veterans Foundation

  • This organization aims to help veterans and their families who are in crisis and need immediate help.

  • This organization provides scholarships to help children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

  • More than 20,000 dependents have lost a parent this way in the last 35 years.

  • Freedom Service Dogs of America provides trained service dogs to those in need.

  • They also offer Operation Full Circle, which trains veterans to train service dogs for others.

  • This is a faith-based, non profit organization that empowers women veterans.

  • Their mission is to identify, connect, empower, educate, advocate, support and provide a voice for women veterans in Michigan.
