Jaymie H. is the son of U.S. Army Serviceman Casey Elwin H. “My father is a hero to me and everyone who knows of his service. He is my inspiration in just about everything I accomplish.” Casey Elwin H. lost his life in the Army while on active duty. “I think my dad would be proud of the type of man I have become, the respect I give to others, and the overall way I am as a person.”

As a Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (Fallen Patriots) scholarship recipient, Jamie studied sports administration and athletic coaching at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and recently graduated in May of 2019. He chose this major due to his love for the growing industry of sports.

“Fallen Patriots and its supporters were able to give me the tools I needed to get through college and comfort in knowing there were people out there continuously rooting for my success.”

Jaymie encourages other Gold Star students to gather whatever memories they can and make the most out of any sacrifice that was made. “Your parent made the ultimate sacrifice, and that should always be cherished and remembered.”

There are approximately 25,000 children who have lost an active-duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. The vision of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to ensure that every such child receives all necessary college funding.
