Family Entertainment Centers Across America Join Forces To Support Military Children of the Fallen

Jacksonville Beach, FL – From coast to coast, Family Entertainment Centers (FECs) are joining forces to support children’s college education by participating in the 3rd Annual ForeverLawn’s Putt for the Fallen. This month-long fundraiser will directly benefit Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation in their goal to help the children of fallen soldiers reach their dreams of a college education.

This year 47 FECs from 14 different states will try to raise as much money as they can for Fallen Patriots, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing college scholarships and long-term educational counseling to children of fallen soldiers.  Fallen Patriots honors the lives of those who have sacrificed themselves for our country, ensuring the success of those they loved.

Putt for the Fallen debuted in 2014, and since then, over $50,000 has been collectively raised by participating FECs.  “Putt for the Fallen is such a unique fundraiser.  It generates tremendous support and the awareness it brings about across the country helps us provide college scholarships and educational assistance to more of the estimated 20,000 children who have lost an active duty parent in the past 35 years,” explained Kendra E. Davenport, President of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. “We're very grateful to all the FEC participants and their front-line staff for their ongoing commitment to military families.  They do more than collect donations - they inspire people to get involved."

The majority of FECs are participating in Putt for the Fallen for a 3rd time. Fallen Patriots is thankful for the continued support of those facilities who have signed up to participate multiple years in a row.  As a new incentive for 2016, over $1000 worth of prizes will be awarded for top fundraising, most social media engagement and best effort.

During the month of September, patrons that visit participating FECs are given the opportunity to donate $1, $3 or $5. In exchange for the donation, participants get to sign their name on a paper golf ball and the guest also receives a bounce-back coupon for a free round of mini-golf with the purchase of a round on their next visit.

ForeverLawn, a premier artificial and synthetic grass manufacturer, has signed on as title sponsor of Putt for the Fallen for a second year. Sponsorships help fund the promotional kits that participants receive to execute the promotion, such as posters, paper balls, coupons, stickers and flyers.  Each participating FEC paid $99 for the promotional kit which also came with electronic materials such as social media posting art, a recorded PSA and a participant guide. “ForeverLawn is proud to lend our support to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation,” said Brian Karmie, Vice President of ForeverLawn. “We value the sacrifices made by our military, and are happy to have this opportunity to help the children of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country."

Ensuring the dreams of those left behind, 100% of the donations will go directly to scholarships and long-term educational counseling for the children of fallen heroes.
